Materials Handler I

Duration: 6 months (long-term position extension possible)
Location: Pomona CA 91767
Schedule: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.26/hr
Classification: Non-Exempt (hours over 40 paid at time and a half; overtime as needed)

We are seeking a Materials Handler for a Shipping & Receiving role in Pomona CA. The selected candidate will maintain manufacturing inventory keep accurate records and support day-to-day material movement. This position involves no heavy lifting. The candidate will start as soon as screenings are cleared and the need is immediate.

• Load unload and move materials (crates boxes and raw materials) within or near the plant yard or work site
• Read and follow work orders and/or verbal instructions
• Use hand tools to open containers
• Transport materials using a hand truck electric dolly wheelbarrow or other devices
• Use a pallet jack and follow shipping procedures
• Maintain manufacturing inventory and keep accurate inventory records
• Perform restocking and inventory acceptance sampling
• Perform cycle counts and ensure inventory is clearly labeled
• Verify and maintain material inventory and sample request forms

• Previous material handling experience
• Prior experience in material handling shipping/receiving or inventory/warehouse work (pallet jack usage shipping procedures etc.)
• Good computer skills with experience in ERP or similar systems
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple tasks both as a team member and as an individual contributor
• Good attendance record and willingness to learn
