Job Title: Materials Control Specialist 1 & 2

Location: Tulsa OK 74172 - Onsite - One Williams Center Downtown Tulsa

Summary:
We are hiring a Materials Control Specialist to support procurement and supply chain operations for a large Oil & Gas / Energy project. This is an 8-month contract role based 100% onsite in Tulsa.

The role involves creating requisitions and receipts in Oracle supporting the full procure-to-pay cycle and coordinating with buyers engineers project teams and suppliers to ensure material availability per project schedules.

Ideal candidates have 2 years in supply chain procurement or materials coordination in oil & gas pipeline engineering/construction manufacturing or industrial environments. Experience with pipe valves fittings (PVF) is a plus but not mandatory - candidates with strong potential and willingness to learn will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create requisitions and receipts in Oracle to support business demand
  • Support procure-to-pay activities: requisitioning receiving invoice resolution bidding support and general procurement administration
  • Work closely with buyers engineers project teams and suppliers
  • Follow procurement policies and procedures
  • Resolve supplier and internal customer inquiries
  • Monitor order status and delivery requirements vs project schedules
  • Maintain procurement documentation and audit-ready records
  • Support reporting and other administrative supply chain activities

Requirements:

  • 2 years experience in supply chain procurement materials coordination or purchasing in industrial / oil & gas / pipeline / E&C environment
  • Experience with Oracle ERP (or SAP / equivalent ERP) for requisitions and receipts - Working knowledge
  • Knowledge of procure-to-pay operations PO tracking delivery tracking
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in a process-mature enterprise environment with formal approvals and cross-functional handoffs
  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Business Logistics preferred - Associate Degree relevant experience acceptable

Preferred:

  • Experience with industrial materials - pipe valves fittings (PVF) MRO
  • Experience in multi-site multi-project industrial or engineering/construction environments
