Job Description:

L3Harris Space & Sensors is seeking an Inspector to complete compliance inspection of piece part and sub assembly in Receiving Inspection. This includes using blueprints drawings gauges and other documentation/tools to ensure company standards are being met.

Essential Functions:

• Accurate inspection of piece parts and sub-assemblies.

• Review of documentation.

• Interaction with other functions of the business.

• Accurately compare and verify information across multiple documents.

• Efficiently work with a computer to document report and review paperwork.

• Fully proficient individual contributor for this support role.

• Support daily inspection activities and priorities. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment problem solving abilities and operational knowledge.

• Working familiarity and knowledge of Military and Space Specifications

• Working familiarity with drawings Inspection Instructions as well as familiarity with Supplier Test Reports and Material Certification review.

• Excellent communication skills both written and oral

• Possess the ability to interact effectively with various levels of management peers and other disciplines relative to inspections and the receiving inspection department processes.

• Ability to follow instruction and make decisions about inspection criteria and requirements.

• Capable of working in teams or independently with minimum oversight.

• Familiarity or experience working on a computer and working under a microscope

• Works under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise.

• Ability to work for prolonged periods of time looking through a microscope.

• Ability to be in a Stationary position for prolonged periods of time.

• Ability to move up to a minimum of 25 pounds.

• Take prescribed training courses for the position (held on site at this facility) J-STD-001 or on the job training by peers.

• Ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Interest in working overtime as needed.

• Preferred candidates have experience with Military/Space workmanship specifications and IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 soldering specifications.

• Candidates with past inspection of military or aerospace electronic products experience is a plus.

• Previous experience working in an ERP system TIPQA Cost Point or similar systems.
