Job Summary
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Handles freight at dock locations responsibilities include loading unloading checking in/out of dock staging by delivery location confirm all freight received reporting overages missing and damaged freight completing daily cross-dock reports monitoring cooler and dock temperatures and ensuring dock safety and cleanliness standards are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures freight is handled following proper procedures and performs essential functions including loading and unloading checking in/out freight staging freight ensuring all paperwork is accurate reporting any missing overages or damaged freight completing all daily cross- dock reports and operating forklift. Records dock and cooler temperatures every
- hours download trailer temperatures. Adheres to all applicable laws/regulations as well as company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school degree or GED
- 1 year of related experience
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to use computer systems input data and use spreadsheets.
- Ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities.
- Requires independent work and decision making when on weekend or night shift (varies by dock location)
