Basic Job Functions:
- Locate pull and bring orders using a sit-down forklift
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs; keep track of inventory
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
- Must be able to support any other department with material handling needs.
- Other duties as assigned
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a sit-down forklift operator
- Valid certification to operate forklifts required; we will also certify through company
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work any shift as required overtime weekends and holidays; must be able to work a modifiable schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working for a manufacturing company
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Basic math skills to keep track of inventory
