Material Handler Forklift Operator

Seeking a dependable Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join a global leader in climate control product distribution where your versatility will support efficient warehouse operations.

This position involves handling materials through both manual and powered equipment methods. You will be responsible for receiving inspecting packing and routing products while maintaining accurate records and supporting shipping and receiving functions.

• PAY RATE: 20.00 hour
• HOURS: 7:30am to 4:30pm M-F
• LOCATION: Austin TX 78728

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipment and receipt of materials supplies equipment and finished products under general supervision.
• Operate sit down and/or stand up forklifts and hydraulic jack lifts to move materials safely.
• Receive goods verify items against shipment records and inspect condition.
• Gather verify and pack items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods.
• Record received and shipped items following established procedures.
• Route materials supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
• Complete written and computerized documentation accurately.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience required.
• Drug test and background check required.
• Ability to operate powered equipment such as forklifts or hydraulic jack lifts.
• Basic reading writing and numerical skills.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid drivers license with good driving record may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification preferred.

Work Environment

• Work hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
