Job Summary
Join GE Aerospace and help move the future of flight. Were looking for a dependable detail-oriented Material Handler to receive store kit and ship components and finished goods that support our manufacturing operations. This role is hands-on collaborative and essential to maintaining inventory accuracy and production flow.
What youll do
Receive inspect and store incoming materials; prepare and ship finished goods.
Pick kit bag tag pack and release materials to the production floor.
Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
Use MRP systems (Oracle) to enter transactions investigate inquiries and update records.
Support shipping operations (including customer/carrier portals) and basic foam packing machine maintenance.
Move materials between projects and perform routine deliveries/picks.
Maintain source documents and filing to support inventory control.
Follow standard operating procedures and provide clear written/oral communication.
Train and mentor other team members and participate in self-directed team activities.
Keep your workstation tools and equipment clean and safe.
Required skills qualifications and experience
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
Experience: 13 years of manufacturing stockroom shipping or receiving experience preferred.
Technical skills:
Basic computer skills; ability to use MRP systems (Oracle experience preferred).
Basic math and counting skills.
Experience with kitting packing and inventory cycle counts.
Physical requirements:
Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Good handeye coordination and manual dexterity.
Other:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to follow safety rules and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Desired qualifications
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment or stockroom/shipping function.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
Valid drivers license.
Experience mentoring or training peers.
