Job Title: Material Coordinator Planning and Control

Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company

Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)

Location: Thibodaux LA 70301

Shift: 1st Shift

• Monday Thursday: 7:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM 11:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate material flow and Kanban replenishment to support production.
• Ensure production teams have required materials to meet manufacturing schedules.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve material shortages.
• Process inbound and outbound material transactions.
• Create and distribute daily production schedules using the Master Schedule.
• Audit material replenishment cycles and inventory records.
• Manage nonconforming materials through segregation labeling containment and disposition.
• Coordinate rework repair scrap and return-to-vendor activities.
• Maintain nonconforming material records and corrective action documentation.
• Work closely with Quality Operations and Supply Chain teams to support continuous production.

Must-Have Requirements

• Knowledge of manufacturing inventory or material flow processes.
• Understanding of nonconforming material processes.
• Basic analytical skills (percentages Pareto charts control charts etc.).
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory and production records.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to operate a forklift and Gator/golf cart.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing warehouse or material coordination.
• Familiarity with welding paint assembly or fabrication operations.
• Experience with inventory control and material planning.
• Knowledge of quality systems and corrective action processes.
• Experience with Kanban Lean Manufacturing or production scheduling.
