Job Summary

Description

The Material Control Coordinator is an analytical professional that performs the creation and maintenance of the Bills of Material. This position is integral in the planning & support of Advanced Work Packaging by providing project personnel with constraint and material readiness.



Responsibilities
  • Coordinate / Communicate directly with Work Face Planning Scheduling Engineering and Expediting to collect necessary Bills of Material detail and work package attributes.

  • Revise & populate Bills of Material data in the Material Management System (MMS)

  • Support the data analysis for construction planning meetings and be prepared to support/explain the results.

  • Perform & oversee the pick ticket creation and issuing of material within the Material Management System (MMS)

  • Generate reports for project team to include forecast of work package requirements.

  • Continuously review Material Readiness look ahead reports and provide status to project team to eliminate material constraints.

  • Train project staff on process and procedures including transactions related to Bill of Materials

  • Generate requisitions for material shortages related to Bills of Materia

  • Other task as required



Qualifications
  • Current Zachry or Zachry ROFed employee.

  • Former experience working with Zachry Industrial Inc.

  • 3 to 5 years experience on an industrial construction project.

  • Previous experience in this position.

  • Associates Degree

Physical Requirements

  • Employee may be required to adhere to large amounts of standing walking bending squatting sitting and lifting.

  • Will talk and hear to communicate.

  • May be required to pick up lift carry and move up to 25lbs (occasionally more).

  • Occasionally be required to spend time on the construction site and will need to have the ability to walk and climb various outdoor conditions.

  • Ability to work alone and with others including craft planners managers engineers suppliers and customers.
