Specialty Program Group Wholesale is the wholesale subsidiary of Specialty Program Group LLC (SPG). We are not only a powerful market resource for brokers and agents but also a partner for carriers reaching out to the commercial insurance buyer in innovative cost-effective ways.


Renewals

  • Initiate preliminary renewal activity 90 days in advance for accounts under $100K in premium and 120 days in advance for accounts exceeding $100K in premium
    • Identify and select appropriate markets for each renewal account (AZ)
    • Schedule submissions to go to market at 11:00 PM
    • Organize and categorize market responses (clearances declines priors and requests for additional information) and distribute to the assigned marketing representative
    • Enter each submission into ImageRight for the assigned marketing representative to facilitate follow-up on outstanding market responses
    • In the event of a Prior/Blocked status contact the agent to request a Broker of Record (BOR) letter to regain market access
  • Manage accounts with premiums under $10K (on a per-line basis) from solicitation through binding
    • Any individual line exceeding $10K is escalated to the marketing representative
    • Accounts subject to non-renewal are also referred to the marketing representative
  • Solicit renewal submissions from agents 120150 days in advance
    • Issue all renewal letters accompanied by the corresponding supplemental application
    • Log submissions in ImageRight to enable marketing representative follow-up on items not yet received
    • Upon receipt of a renewal submission review for completeness and forward to the marketing representative
  • Provide support to marketing representatives in reaching out to markets for option quotes incumbent quotes or any other assistance required during the renewal process
  • NEW Verify that the correct Account Executive Marketing Representative and CSR are reflected in AIM when generating renewal reports

Quotes

  • Process ALL new and renewal quotes for the office (Tommy and Keith)
  • Coordinate with team to assist with Kinsale quotes during periods of high volume
  • Request status updates on new business quotes being worked by Keith or Tommy
  • Deliver risk analysis on assigned accounts and provide additional support to marketing representatives as needed

Binding

  • Convert all approved quotes in AIM to Bind Requests for processing by Leslie/Marisela
  • Upload all binding-related documentation to ImageRight including requests received from the agent and submissions to the carrier
  • Verify that the correct Account Executive Marketing Representative and CSR are reflected in AIM

Reports & Administrative Functions

  • Maintain and update the Invoice Data spreadsheet on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain the monthly lost accounts report
  • Keep the underwriter contact list current
  • NEW Manage all expiring account reports and coordinate with Cassandra and Machielle as needed
  • Oversee all agency and carrier appointment processes including new appointments for both
  • Coordinate with support staff to add missing markets and risks in AIM
  • Any report requested by broker or marketing representative

Operations

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all roles within the organization to provide cross-functional support as needed
  • Assist in managing all office related needs including materials supplies vendor payments issue resolution and team events
  • Provide support on distressed accounts requiring additional team assistance
  • Address IT-related issues within scope of capability
  • Assist with the onboarding and training of new hires
  • Maintain a shared calendar reflecting approved PTO (pending manager approval) company holidays team birthdays and work anniversaries

Compensation: Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $60000-$75000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills experience and working location as well as the specific positions business line scope and level.
