As a part of the Manufacturing Design team you will have the opportunity to lead the development of quality processes for new and exciting parts. Not only will you define the quality metrology and process requirements but you will also be a part of defining how new manufacturing processes are being designed from the ground up. nnAs quality engineers we enable the mass creation of impossible products as a partner in the development of Apples renowned designs. n- Partner with tooling and functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the concept phase n- Develop measurement technologies control strategies information systems and manufacturing methods that achieve ambitious specifications at substantial production scale n- Develop and implement groundbreaking quality inspection tools to evaluate cosmetic and dimensional part characteristics n- Compile and evaluate data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and part specifications n- Lead activities to balance unparalleled quality with scalable yields n- Collaborate with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the product n- Coordinate and prioritize all Quality Engineering functions for multiple program for team members n- Continue to expend the capabilities of the team and recruit new engineers n- Establish audit procedures appropriate to program and supplier to ensure alignment to Apple quality standards n- Evaluate and communicate yields of new and existing processes n- Drive corrective actions with internal and external team members

5 years of experience with hands-on manufacturing experience supplier management and quality control (manufacturing quality statistical analysis GDu0026T metrology design of experiments etc)nAbility to travel internationally to supplier sites - 30%nBS in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Industrial Manufacturing/Systems Chemical Engineering or similar such as Industrial Technology Materials Science etc)

Experience with any of the following: mechanical enclosures castings plastic parts injection molding stamping tooling jigs fixtures or automotive high volume quality manufacturing engineeringnInternational experience particularly in Asia is a plus
