Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing optimizing and maintaining manufacturing processes within the Radiation Monitoring manufacturing department focusing on improving efficiency quality and cost-effectiveness by analyzing production methods equipment and materials often collaborating with other departments to identify and implement improvements across nuclear product lines.

Responsibilities authorities and accountabilities

• Process/product mastery and ownership
• Day-to day shop floor support
• Manufacturing traveler/router creation and modification
• Manufacturing equipment selection and implementation
• Disposition of non-conforming product and equipment
• Product and process failure analysis and troubleshooting
• Fixturing design and implementation
• Manufacturing procedure creation modification and associated operator training
• Engineering change management
• Capital Equipment project justifications submissions and management
• Manufacturing process and quality control through collaboration with operators data collection and trend tracking
• Manufacturing process audits
• Purchasing manufacturing tooling and consumables
• Scrap reduction through process improvement projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college required
• At least 4 years of experience preferred in Manufacturing or Process Engineering. Candidates possessing degrees in the following areas will be considered: Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Technology Electronic Engineering Technology Electrical Engineering Physics Engineering Physics Manufacturing Engineering Technology

• Demonstrated proficiency in engineering design tools and software
