Manufacturing Engineer (Third Shift)

Job Summary
The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Orlando Fl. This is part of our Optical and Photonics Systems Division we specialize in the design development and manufacturing of complex state-of-the-art communications systems for military space and commercial applications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead fabrication process development documentation ECOs process training and responsibility to maintain production yield quality and cleanliness.
- Interfacing with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and develop build strategies.
- Drive cost reduction and commit the best process control to make top quality products for customers.
- Directing support personnel in the day-to-day execution of the manufacturing tasks.
- Actively thinking and acting independently to propose or translate ideas and new concepts into tangible results of processes.
- Plan and support the build and modification of electronics systems including procurement support assembly method/work instructions generation tooling design support material/process development facilities/equipment planning and resolution of manufacturing quality and reliability issues.
- Ability to work third shift Friday to Monday from 7:00AM - 5:30PM.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in ME EE or OE and a minimum of 3 years or an Associates Degree and a minimum of 5 years or equivalent combination of education and experience of working in Optics Manufacturing Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or similar industrial field.
- Knowledge of process control cleanroom operation protocol and process control for complex opto-mechanical and electro-optical assembly.
- Proven technical acumen in the manufacture test and integration of complex product technologies and systems DoD or Space.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and ability to work well in team environment with people at all levels.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance
Desired:
- Knowledge of MIL/IPC workmanship and performance standards related to electronic assemblies IPC-610 IPC-620 MIL-STD-810 MIL-STD-883 NASA Spec.
- Manufacturing Execution System experience
