We are seeking a full-time Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic teamindeveloping our soft goods capabilities at our factory in Kent this role you willbe responsible fordeveloping thermal protective materials and coatings and standing up the capability within the factory to achieve reliable and repeatable outcomes. You will collaborate with design and analysis teams through all phases of the reusable vehicle product Stoke we value a first principles approach to this role you will own and develop thematerials process and performance capabilities of soft goods at Stoke.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the responsible engineerfor soft goods(insulations paints foamsetc) at Stoke
  • Trade evaluate and selectappropriate materialsfor launch vehicle thermal and coating needsconsidering performance requirements cost and process lead time factors
  • Analyze develop and prove material capabilities for soft goods through thermalenvironmental and structuralanalysis prototyping and test
  • Author implement andmaintainprocesses and requirements for soft goodsfabrication implementation and maintenance
  • Deliver design guidance tointernalcustomers for improved vehicle performance outcomes
  • Establish andmaintainrelationships with supplierstodevelop and improveinternal quality and capabilities
  • Implement or fabricate equipmentand toolingto support process development

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in mechanicalengineering materials engineeringaerospace engineering or similar
  • 3 years of professional experience withthermal testor soft goods engineering
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work across many different projects and with many different people concurrently
  • Background workingwith hands-on soft goods development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Willing torelocateto Seattle WA

Compensation

Target Levels:

  • Level 2 Range: $109725 - $148470
  • Level 3 Range: $129150 - $193620
  • Level 4 Range: $151305 - $252105

ITAR Requirements
