Manufacturing Engineer II

RFA Engineering () is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an entry-level to experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customers world-class engineering and manufacturing facility in Sanford NC.

Job Description

• Support manufacturing operations through process equipment and facility improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety quality productivity and efficiency.
• Analyze manufacturing challenges and implement effective solutions to improve performance.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes work instructions and engineering documentation.
• Evaluate specify and implement production tooling and equipment.
• Support capital projects new product introductions and capacity expansion efforts.
• Collaborate with Quality Operations Maintenance and Engineering teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for manufacturing investments and process changes.
• Optimize facility layouts workflow and space utilization.
• Provide hands-on manufacturing floor support to validate processes and drive successful implementation of improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
• 2 years of manufacturing engineering or related industry experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems.
• Experience supporting process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing process or equipment-related issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Desired Experience

• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CAD software such as Creo and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma and Quality Management Systems.
• Project management experience.
• PMP certification or equivalent project leadership experience.
• Lean Certification such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
• Experience supporting new product introduction programs.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment specification acquisition and implementation.

Salary Range $65000- $80000/year commensurate with experience
