Shift: Sunday-Tuesday every other Wednesday 6pm-6am

The Manufacturing Engineer II at Jabil Inc. will be responsible for developing implementing and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality products. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing methods improving yields and supporting new product introductions.

Job Responsibilities

• Design develop and implement new manufacturing processes equipment and tooling.

• Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency cost reduction and quality improvement.

• Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions.

• Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions process flow diagrams and control plans.

• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to full production ensuring manufacturability.

• Collaborate with design engineering quality assurance and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.

• Perform time studies and capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks and optimize production flow.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all manufacturing processes.

• Provide technical support and training to production personnel.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including assembly testing and automation.

• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

• Experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) for fixture and tooling design.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.

• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
