Manufacturing Engineer I

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

• Develop manufacturing methods and processes tooling details and equipment specifications for current and new programs
• Develop engineering Bill of Materials and Routings with labor estimates
• Develop process flow and line balance by breaking down large complex assemblies into sub-assemblies
• Create and support of Manufacturing Readiness Review packages prior to first-part builds
• Develop manufacturing plans and detailed work instructions necessary for hardware fabrication
• Evaluate alternative processes that improve component properties reduce costs and increase efficiency
• Oversee and contribute to engineering build projects from start to finish ensuring that the project is executed on-time
• Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to AS9100 standards
• Provide ongoing engineering assistance to the Operations department Additional Duties

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of relevant education and work experience will be considered
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role
• Proficient in reading and interpreting customer specifications and 2D engineering drawings with in-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
• Experience in creating engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Proven ability to develop manufacturing process flows identify tooling solutions and estimate labor hours across all phases of the manufacturing process
