Manufacturing Engineer

Job description:

This is not a desk engineering role. This is where engineering meets reality.

At Triple/S Dynamics this role owns the gap between design and production ensuring that what gets engineered can actually be built efficiently correctly and repeatedly.

You will be on the floor working with fabricators assemblers and vendors to eliminate problems improve processes and drive manufacturability into every job.

This role replaces a long-tenured problem solver who knew how to make things work. This role will build that capability into a repeatable high-performance system.

What Youll Own

Ensuring engineering designs are fully manufacturable before release

Acting as the technical bridge between engineering and the shop floor

Working with vendors to solve fabrication and assembly issues in real time not documenting them later

Driving reduction in rework delays and production inefficiencies

Creating and maintaining clear usable shop documentation

Improving workflows across assembly paint and test

Developing tooling fixtures and methods that make production easier and faster

Leading root cause analysis and ensuring issues do not repeat

Supporting production teams with practical hands-on problem solving

Driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations

What Success Looks Like

Drawings released to the floor are buildable without confusion or rework

Production issues are resolved same-day whenever possible

Measurable reduction in rework delays and fabrication errors

Shop teams trust engineering because solutions are practical and usable

Processes improve over time not reset with each job

Tooling and workflows increase throughput and reduce frustration

Problems are permanently solved not repeatedly revisited

Must-Haves

Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering

3 years in manufacturing or production engineering

Strong understanding of fabrication processes (welding machining forming assembly)

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbols

Hands-on problem-solving mindset in a production environment

Strong Differentiators

Experience in heavy equipment or capital equipment manufacturing

Experience working directly with shop floor teams

Conveyor or bulk material handling equipment familiarity

Experience improving manufacturability not just supporting it

ERP/MRP and production documentation experience

Culture & Environment

You will not be micromanaged but you will be expected to deliver

Problems are yours to solve not escalate indefinitely

Clarity is not always given you must create it

This is not a fit for someone who prefers theoretical engineering over practical execution avoids direct interaction with production teams or needs perfect information before acting
