The Manufacturing Engineer supports manufacturing operations by developing and improving processes tooling equipment layouts and assembly methods. This role serves as the primary engineering resource for assigned production areas while supporting broader facility needs as required.
The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach working regularly on the production floor to understand problems firsthand engage with team members and drive solutions through implementation. This role requires strong ownership communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited day-to-day direction
YOUR IMPACT
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Serve as the primary manufacturing engineering resource for assigned production areas while supporting other facility needs as required.
- Work directly with production Safety Quality Materials Maintenance and other functions to identify problems determine root causes and implement practical solutions.
- Design prototype and implement manufacturing tooling fixtures workstations and material-handling solutions using 2D and 3D CAD.
- Lead manufacturing engineering projects and engineering changes through assessment implementation and validation coordinating impacts across tooling processes materials quality safety and affected stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain standard work instructions and manufacturing process documentation.
- Perform time studies capacity analysis line balancing value stream/process mapping layout analysis and other industrial engineering activities to improve safety quality delivery cost ergonomics and productivity.
- Lead and support continuous improvement activities and events within assigned manufacturing areas.
- Develop project estimates cost justifications ROI analyses and capital improvement proposals.
- Manage multiple projects and production-support priorities while communicating status meeting deadlines and independently driving work toward completion.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Operations Engineering or related field.
- One (1) two (2) or more years of experience.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience creating and modifying 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings.
- Strong analytical problem-solving communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines with limited day-to-day direction.
- Ability and willingness to work regularly in a manufacturing environment and spend significant time on the production floor.
- Experience with Creo Parametric.
- Experience in a manufacturing heavy equipment automotive fabrication or assembly environment.
- Experience designing manufacturing tooling fixtures workstations or material-handling solutions.
- Experience with standard work time studies capacity analysis line balancing value stream mapping process mapping or manufacturing layout development.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing Kaizen/continuous improvement root-cause analysis and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience leading projects from concept through implementation including cost justification ROI analysis or capital requests.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common hand/power tools fabrication methods and assembly processes.

- This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.
- In the office setting tasks may require extended computer use sitting and attending meetings.
- Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors standing moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds) climbing stairs and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.
- Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks as needed.

Pay Range:
$73200.00 - $117800.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
