Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction
The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer is responsible for applying electrical engineering principles within the Manufacturing Engineering organization to support the manufacture of electronic and electromechanical products.
This position develops and improves manufacturing processes supports production by resolving technical issues enhances quality throughput and cost and leads the implementation of new products into production.
The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer develops manufacturing documentation tooling fixtures and test requirements serves as the primary Manufacturing Engineering owner for assigned value streams or product groups and partners with Design Engineering Quality Supply Chain and Operations to ensure products are manufacturable reliable and efficiently produced.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and transition of new electronic and electromechanical products into manufacturing.
Provide electrical engineering support to production by troubleshooting manufacturing test and product-related issues.
Develop validate and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety quality delivery and cost.
Design and implement manufacturing tooling fixtures test equipment and process improvements.
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions routings process specifications and standard operating procedures.
Perform root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing and field issues.
Conduct manufacturing process risk assessments including PFMEA and support Design FMEA activities as required.
Collaborate with Design Engineering to improve product manufacturability testability reliability and producibility.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma and other problem-solving methodologies.
Analyze manufacturing data and process performance to identify trends and implement sustainable improvements.
Serve as the Manufacturing Engineering technical owner for assigned products value streams or manufacturing processes.
Other duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications Skills and Attributes
Core Requirements
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and electronic manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in root cause analysis structured problem solving and corrective action methodologies
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma and continuous improvement principles.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics engineering drawings specifications and technical documentation.
Strong analytical organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of manufacturing process validation process controls and continuous improvement best practices.
Ability to perform the essentials of the job with or without reasonable accommodation (ADA).
Desireable Skills and Experience
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum of 35 years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing production or industrial environment.
Experience supporting manufacturing operations new product introduction (NPI) and production troubleshooting.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics engineering drawings bills of material (BOMs) and technical specifications.
Familiarity with GD&T Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT).
