Job Summary
Role Overview The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for the overall safe efficient and reliableoperation of the plant. This position provides leadership and direction for plantoperations maintenance production safety quality personnel and Plant Operations Manager ensures production objectives are achieved whilemaintaining a strong safety culture regulatory compliance equipment reliability productquality and effective cost ResponsibilitiesPlant OperationsDirect and oversee daily plant operations to meet production quality and efficiency daily operating priorities and coordinate manpower equipment materials and production rates equipment performance downtime product quality and operating operational problems and implement corrective operating procedures and established production standards are plant activities with management maintenance quality engineering sales and other effective communication between shifts and the plant is adequately staffed and operating & Equipment ReliabilityProvide leadership and direction to maintenance personnel and maintenance preventive predictive and corrective maintenance programs are effectively maintenance work based on safety production requirements equipment condition and business equipment availability downtime repair costs and recurring troubleshooting of mechanical electrical hydraulic pneumatic instrumentation and process planned shutdowns major repairs equipment installations and capital maintenance work orders and equipment records are properly strategies to reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment & ComplianceProvide visible leadership and accountability for plant employees follow company safety policies procedures and applicable regular safety meetings inspections audits and workplace appropriate training and qualification of incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are proper implementation of lockout/tagout machine guarding electrical safety confined-space fall protection and other applicable safety mining operations ensure compliance with applicable MSHA requirements and site-specific & LeadershipLead coach and develop operations and maintenance clear performance expectations and hold employees with hiring training performance evaluations disciplinary actions and workforce strong supervisors and frontline teamwork communication professionalism and employee staffing scheduling overtime and vacation coverage to meet operational & Cost ManagementMonitor labor maintenance parts contractor energy and operating opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining safety quality reliability and production KPIs and develop action plans when performance falls below with annual planning capital budgeting equipment replacement and plant improvement ImprovementLead initiatives to improve plant productivity efficiency reliability and overall production losses downtime equipment failures and process root-cause analysis to eliminate recurring and monitor key performance indicators including:Safety performanceProduction outputEquipment availabilityUnplanned downtimePreventive maintenance complianceMaintenance backlogProduct qualityLabor efficiencyOperating costsPromote a proactive culture focused on continuous improvement and & Experience:5 years of progressive experience in plant operations manufacturing mining aggregate processing or a similar industrial supervisory or management experience knowledge of industrial production and maintenance ability to lead employees in a demanding operating mechanical and electrical troubleshooting knowledge with preventive maintenance and CMMS systems understanding of workplace safety and regulatory communication organizational and problem-solving to make sound decisions under pressure and effectively prioritize competing ExperienceMining aggregate heavy manufacturing or mineral processing experience and familiarity with Part 46 or Part 48 training requirements as managing both operations and maintenance with major plant shutdowns and capital with reliability programs root-cause analysis and continuous managing operating and maintenance & Work ConditionsThe Plant Operations Manager will routinely work in an industrial plant environment and may be exposed to noise dust moving equipment electrical equipment elevatedtemperatures outdoor weather conditions and other industrial position requires regular field presence and may require extended hours weekendsholidays or emergency response to support plant in the PositionSuccess in this position will be measured by the ability to operate the plant safely meet production objectives maintain reliable equipment develop a
