The Opportunity
The Manager Manufacturing Process Engineering role is based out of our Princeton NJ office. This role is on site daily and will have direct reports. This role is based out of our Point of Care division. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key health and therapeutic areas including infectious disease cardiometabolic informatics and toxicology.

What Youll Work On

As a leader within Abbott Point of Care youll help drive the development of innovative diagnostic products that enable healthcare providers to make faster more informed decisions for patients. Youll lead a team of scientists and/or engineers focused on bringing new ideas from concept through commercialization while enhancing existing products and technologies.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for designing developing and testing new point-of-care diagnostic solutions.
  • Guide product development activities ensuring designs are reliable manufacturable cost-effective and aligned with customer and business needs.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including R&D Manufacturing Quality Regulatory Marketing and senior leadership to deliver projects successfully.
  • Identify emerging technologies market trends and unmet customer needs that can shape future product innovation.
  • Contribute to business strategies and product roadmaps that support Abbott Point of Cares growth and innovation goals.
  • Solve complex technical and business challenges while balancing product performance customer experience timelines and costs.
  • Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous improvement within your team.
  • Stay current on advancements in diagnostics healthcare technology and point-of-care testing to help keep Abbott at the forefront of the industry.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Life Sciences Biomedical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant product development engineering scientific or technical leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading projects and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving communication and leadership skills.
  • Medical Device or Regulatory Device experience.
