Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the Paloma US Investments Inc. and Subsidiaries (Rheem or the Company) global tax strategy compliance reporting and planning initiates. This role will partner with finance and accounting legal treasury and foreign business teams to ensure compliance with U.S. international tax requirements and to identify tax-efficient opportunities across the global organization. This position will also be responsible for the various research projects and assisting with integration of acquired businesses into the tax processes. The Manager International Tax is expected to have regular contact with Foreign Division and Subsidiary Controllers staff regarding tax compliance issues. The ideal candidate is a proactive hands-on tax professional with strong technical knowledge of U.S. international tax rules and experience working in a multinational corporate environment.
This position will serve Rheem North America located in Atlanta GA (Hybrid). This role follows our hybrid work arrangement with team members working in the office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.
Responsibilities
Monitor research interpret document and apply tax law or advise tax management of the impact on the business.
- Manage prepare and/or review U.S. international tax compliance including calculations and reporting related to:
- Net CFC Tested Income (GILTI and/or NCTI)
- Subpart F income
- Foreign-Derived Deduction-Eligible Income (FDII and/or FDDEI)
- Based Erosion and Anti-Abuse Tax
- Foreign tax credits
- E&P and tax basis
- Previously Taxed Earnings and Profits (PTEP)
- Formsand related international information returns
- Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts
- Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure accurate and timely filings of Country-by-Country Reporting Master File and Pillar 2.
- Manage andreview the foreign tax provision analysis and assure that all foreign tax related matters are disclosed in accordance with ASC 740 in the Companys financial statements and/or the financial statements of the Companys owner as needed.
- Assist in the review of tax related issues and opportunities associated with acquisitions and the integration of acquired companies into Companys tax structure.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies processes and special projects as assigned including intercompany transactions and transfer pricing.
- Analyze Rheems international transactions and assure that all necessary compliance requirements are accurately reported in the Companys federal and state income tax returns.
- Supervise develop and mentor a team to assist with responsibilities as needed and available.
Qualifications
Undergraduate and/or Masters Degree in accounting
CPA certification
6 to 9 years of public accounting experience at a Big 4 national firm
Income Tax Compliance and ASC 740 experience
International tax experience including experience preparing and/or reviewing and reporting international based calculations such as NCTI inclusions.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and ability to consistently meet compliance deadlines
Experience managing multiple projects multi-tasking and balancing priorities
Supervisory experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel Power Point and Word
Experience in responding to taxing jurisdiction inquiries and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
OneSource experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Ability to compose responses to taxing jurisdictions in a clear and concise manner
Ability to understand and interpret income tax laws and regulations and determine their effects upon the Companys liability
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and division accounting groups and effectively respond to tax related questions
Ability to accurately calculate tax liabilities and percentages
Ability to create formulas to calculate sums and percentages
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions and apply them to the determination of tax liabilities
Ability to understand tax laws and regulations and apply them in determining federal state and local income tax filing requirements and liabilities
