Manager, Global Commodity Mgt, Amazon Prime Air

This role leads a team of Senior Global Commodity Managers diving deep across business lines that share categories and commodities to leverage our supplier base for performance quality efficiency and cost. Youll serve as an advisor facilitator and educator to internal stakeholders guiding sourcing strategy development and execution.

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazons ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Key job responsibilities
Earn trust with internal business partners; establish enduring relationship build a robust understanding of commodities strategic business direction requirements and priorities across suppliers and/or spend categories.
Develop global sourcing strategies to deliver against business plans goals and objectives for internal clients.
Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and bench-marking analysis; leveraging key-insights to inform and support the Strategic Sourcing strategy development process.
Drive results by leveraging RFx spend pattern analysis contract analysis bid evaluation negotiations and supplier consolidation.
Work with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and controllership improvements optimizing the return on investment and total cost of ownership.
Engage the appropriate subject matter experts including Legal Tax Risk and Information Security to evaluate and develop strategies to mitigate third party risk

- 3 years of program or project management experience
- 5 years of supply chain management planning strategic sourcing commodity management or program management experience

- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
