Job Summary

Position Overview

Receives objective based assignments and determines resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect section or multiple disciplines. Decisions impact others in the immediate team and influences methods and techniques. Executes financials business planning organizational priorities and workforce.

Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Develops and manages operational initiatives to deliver tactical results.

Translates functional plans into operational processes and guides execution. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will add to costs and may have up to a one year impact.

Interacts frequently with subordinate supervisors customers and/or functional peer group professionals involving matters between sections and multiple units. Partners with key contacts outside own area of expertise and other external stakeholders. Effectively communicates and presents results and recommendations across discipline.

Manages the activities of multiple sections or a discipline through subordinate supervisors and/or professionals. Guides by function or department practices and well defined management precedents.

Establishes clear expectations for the downstream team and implements the automation strategy aligning with site objectives
Manages daily operations of the downstream automation team ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely completion of activities
Leads and develops a high-performing multi-disciplined team of engineers through servant leadership while fostering a People First
culture where members feel valued respected and supported
Drives continuous learning and development culture through coaching mentoring succession planning competency development and
performance management
Represents and owns decision making authority for the automation team on areas of responsibility including local and global cross-
functional teams
Leads the improvement strategy lifecycle and performance monitoring of the DeltaV system and associated infrastructure
Serves or manages team members who act as System Owner for designated platforms with end-to-end accountability for availability
performance backup/restore and disaster recovery
Leads tracking and closures of deviations and CAPAs
Owns OPEX budget tracks financial expenditure against budget and provides updates and escalations as required
Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and milestones to drive data-informed decisions identifies opportunities for process
improvements and implements initiatives to improve operational efficiency effectiveness and sustainability
Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of automation projects while maintaining FLBNs One
Team approach
Ensures proper documentation compliance with regulatory requirements including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) across all
automation systems and processes
Provides technical direction and drives team capability through structured training initiatives
Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency
Builds and maintains relationships with external vendors and global colleagues to support systems and processes implements best
practices and specifically coordinates with other sites for maintaining a common DeltaV library
Evaluates team performance implements measures to improve productivity and engagement and partners with People & Culture to
recruit retain and develop talent
Performs other duties as assigned
