MakerSpace Intern

Our dynamic MakerSpace is a busy hub for both patrons and staff offering a wide variety of programs workshops and creative projects every day. As an intern youll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment support engaging events provide outstanding customer service and learn alongside experienced staff. Timeframe: October 12 2026 - December 15 2026

Schedule: Part-Time 20 hours per week

• Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday: 12:00 - 5:00 pm

Compensation: $17 per hour

What Youll Do Every Day:

• Collaborate with the MakerSpace staff to assist in all aspects of the daily operation and use of the MakerSpace.

• Provide excellent customer service while working at the MakerSpace service desk.

• Answer phone calls and help patrons with both scheduled and walk-in projects.

• Assist patrons and staff with MakerSpace related equipment software and activities.

• Operate and provide basic troubleshooting for MakerSpace equipment.

• Assist Library staff with planned programs and events including setup tasks and guiding patrons.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Active MLIS/MLS students encouraged to apply

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Robust computer and technology skills experience with MakerSpace technologies

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
