As our Maintenance Worker II a vital steward of our facilities you will play a crucial role in creating a safe functional and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients staff and visitors.
Every day you will perform essential maintenance service and repairs across buildings equipment and grounds. This includes a diverse range of responsibilities from carpentry painting electrical and plumbing work to equipment maintenance and safety testing. - Performs a variety of general maintenance repair overhaul and construction duties.
- Constructs and repairs various items (i.e. building woodwork windows ceiling tiles walls/floors cabinets counter tops doors office furniture and chairs).
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and meets all applicable codes.
- Inspects and performs repairs on Life Safety components (i.e. fire/smoke wall doors exit corridors exit stairs & chute doors).
- Comprehensive understanding of equipment operation building systems emergency procedures and the ability to successfully provide service as needed.
- Responsible for accurate and timely completion of documentation in Computer Maintenance Management System i.e. work orders equipment and area records.
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) to four (4) years of general maintenance experience
- Valid State Drivers License
- Strong communication skills: ability to read write and speak English
Preferred
- Completion of a trade school program
- Technical degree in a facilities related field
- Journeyman Plumber License or certification HVAC or Electrical also accepted
