- Shift / Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM with available overtime

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings industrial systems and equipment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function which is responsible for providing support preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems. The candidate will work as part of a small team in an acute care hospital environment and will be around patients and other hospital staff.
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical electrical and other building systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections diagnose potential problems and make repairs.
- Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
- Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
- Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems; exchange straightforward information in a clear concise manner.
- Impact team through defined duties methods and tasks as described in detail.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
- Complete maintenance work orders.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks including:
- Changing air filters - Checking fans motors and pumps - Life safety maintenance - Basic plumbing - Basic electric
- General maintenance
- Basic plumbing
- Basic electric
- Basic HVAC
- General carpentry
- Good customer service skills
- High level of professionalism
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word Excel Outlook etc.)
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
- Any advanced maintenance skills
- High School Diploma GED or trade school diploma required
- In lieu of a diploma a combination of experience and education will be considered
- 24 years of job-related maintenance experience
- Acute care hospital environment; candidate will be around patients and other hospital staff
- Must meet physical requirements including stooping standing walking and climbing stairs/ladders
- Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
- Overtime available
- Background package: CBRE Safety Specific with drug screen required
- Interview process: 1 round in-person with hiring manager
