Maintenance Technician-Jennings

Are you a hands-on professional who enjoys solving problems working with tools and making a difference every day We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Maintenance & Facilities Technician to help keep our school facilities safe functional and well-maintained.

Monday - Friday
2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Evening Shift)

$20.07 per hour

As a Maintenance & Facilities Technician you will perform a variety of maintenance and repair duties including but not limited to:

• Electrical repairs and troubleshooting
• Plumbing installation and repairs
• Grounds maintenance and care
• Carpentry work and repairs
• Floor tile installation and replacement
• Cold patch roof repairs
• Operation of maintenance equipment and tools
• Fence installation and repair
• Furniture and equipment assembly and repair
• Routine preventive maintenance of equipment
• Driveway and parking lot repairs
• Delivery of materials equipment and supplies throughout the district
• Loading and unloading materials from trucks
• Maintaining accurate inventory and work order records
• Performing additional maintenance-related duties as assigned

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition subtraction multiplication and division
• Ability to work effectively with school staff maintenance teams vendors and community members
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
• Ability to work independently while following district policies procedures and safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience required

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Ability to work independently and safely

Dependable professional and detail-oriented

• Must successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check
• Fingerprinting costs are the responsibility of the applicant
