Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the physical plant including all buildings grounds on campus and all other off-campuses as needed.

Essential Functions:

To dismantle machines or equipment to gain access to replace defective parts.

To respond to work order requests for service.

To dismantle machinery or equipment to gain access to replace defective parts.

To paint wall woodwork and ceilings using paint rollers and brushes.

To repair window and door hardware.

To measure and install pipe and tubing for gas and water systems.

To move furniture and prepare for special events.

To remove ice and snow throughout campus.

To inspect machinery buildings and grounds for defects for future repair.

To help in all agency clean up and set ups for functions.

Check-in vendors to the campus obtain confidentiality agreements review work safety plans and training obtain sign off on work safety expectations.

Respond to emergency situations.

Complete monthly safety inspections.

Complete light electrical work.

Complete light plumbing issues.

Rotate within the on-call coverage schedule

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. This position regularly requires flexible and long hours and a weekend/after hours rotating on-call. This position is eligible for flex schedule within the pay week per Everstands policy and supervisor approval. This position is essential during inclement weather.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two years experience performing a variety of maintenance activities.
