Maintenance Supervisor Maintenance Truss

PURPOSESupervises and coordinates activities with Manufacturing locations in maintaining repairing retiring relocating and installing plant equipment. Gathers bids to outsource necessary work. Prioritizes repair/improvement issues and opportunities with approval from VP of DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAll activities below must be coordinated with the local plant/location manager and/or have VP approval:Requisitions and issues tools equipment and supplies that are plant equipment work from outside services or vendors for projects that require specific expertise or work areas and production schedules to determine type of work materials equipment and labor requirements for completion of equipment completed work for conformance to blueprints specifications and company policies to workers and enforces safety or adjusts work procedures to meet changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work equipment such as forklifts crane bulldozers and graders and trains workers in equipment activities of workers supervised as installation equipment orders or schedules to ascertain resources necessary to complete project on and implements equipment and facility design upgrades and duties as RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises employees in the maintenance department of location when working onsite equipment project. Is responsible for the overall direction coordination and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 6 months to 1 year of experience in a relevant lead role AND 5 years of maintenance experienceEquivalent combination of education and Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Plans for additional resources; Sets goals and objectives; Organizes or schedules other people and their tasks; Develops realistic action Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
