Work Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $125000.00-$150000.00/annually (Tesseras compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range depending on qualifications and experience.)

Tessera is seeking aMaintenance Supervisor Building Shops. The Maintenance Supervisorprovides direct supervision leadership and coordination of maintenance personnel responsible for Plumbing Mechanical Structural Pest and Lock Shops. Ensures highly reliable infrastructure systems for our clients mission by optimizing personnel skills schedule best practices and resources. Responsible for safety performance workforce development contract compliance customer satisfaction preventive maintenance execution and reliability initiatives.Productivity workplace safety customer satisfaction and the teams success are dependent on theleadership team position efforts. The success of this position will draw from Tesseras leadershipcompetencies: Mission and Values: Safety Leadership; Operations Excellence; Customer Service; andServant Leadership.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Leadership. Supervise coach train and develop employees within assigned shops while promoting accountability teamwork and professional growth. Blends both office based and field based activities at an approximate 50/50 ratio field based includes shop meetings worksite visits client & PW visits.

  • Planning. Prioritize plan and coordinate all work for managed shops by leveraging shop SMEs IQ Project Coordinators and outside providers where needed. Ensures all work has planned crafts hours materials and equipment to ensure efficient execution and scheduling.

  • Scheduling. Finalizes an optimal weekly schedule and coordinates the week before execution. Ensures workload balancing and external resource alignment. Tracks schedule execution through shop leads who assign technicians and drive the daily execution leveraging shop sync meetings. Coordinates system outages shutdowns upgrades testing and commissioning activities with government representatives customers and other stakeholders.

  • Mentoring and training. With Shop Leads and HR develops and implements a skills matrix to advance technicians in each trade leveraging OJT virtual and on-site classes plumber license training and other methods.

  • Work Management. Ensures effective and efficient work execution quality and metrics. Resolve any key process issue with production logistics and other groups. Ensures proper time accounting for all shop members. Tracks key metrics and trends using Maximo and BI.

  • Reliability. With QCR and Production supports key initiatives including defect elimination asset inventory and condition assessments preventive and predictive maintenance optimization and recap project prioritization. Participates in accident investigations root cause analyses corrective actions and maintenance of employee certifications and required training records.

  • Compliance. Ensure compliance with all company Navy OSHA NAVFAC NFPA UFC and contract requirements through active oversight inspections and enforcement of safe work practices.

  • Quality. With Shop Leads and QCR inspects a significant portion of workorders and periodically syncs with key clients to ensure quality results and contract compliance. Knows appropriate sections of the contract and governing references.

  • Client communication. Serves as the primary client contact for assigned building systems providing technical guidance issue resolution and recommendations for system improvements.

  • All Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Facilities Management Mechanical Engineering Technology Construction Management or a related technical field is preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education is allowed.

  • 5-8 Years of experience in Facilities Maintenance Commercial/Industrial Building Systems Mechanical Maintenance Structural Maintenance Government Facilities Maintenance.

  • Certification as a Maintenance Manager (CMM) Reliability Leader (CRL) or Professional Maintenance Manager (CPMM) is preferred. CMM obtainment within first year is .

  • Prior trade experience in mechanical plumbing and/or structural is strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding in Contract Management Operational Excellence and Change Management.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to50 pounds.

  • May be to reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
