Job Summary
Develops and prepares high-quality executable maintenance work packages that enable safe efficient and compliant work execution. Ensures all work is properly scoped planned and resourced such that field execution is predictable efficient and free of avoidable delays or rework.
This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction control and supervision of WTCC
REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
HS Diploma or GED and 6 years of relevant work experience .
OR
Bachelors Degree and 2 years of relevant work experience
OR
Associates degree and 4 years of relevant work experience
Relevant experience includes demonstrating the ability to organize document and communicate technical or operational work in a clear structured and executable manner. This may be gained through roles involving technical writing procedure development operations engineering support maintenance support project coordination or similar environments requiring detailed documentation and planning.
Candidates should show the ability to:
Translate technical or operational scope into clear step-by-step instructions or plans
Organize work in a logical sequence with attention to detail
Identify risks constraints or dependencies and clearly document them
Produce high-quality written materials that can be followed and executed by others
Experience in industrial nuclear or process environments and familiarity with mechanical electrical or instrumentation systems is preferred but not required. Candidates may be asked to provide or demonstrate examples of written work (e.g. procedures instructions reports or plans).
Required Skills:
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Must achieve qualification within 6 months of assignment
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
Work Package Development
Develop detailed work packages for corrective preventive and predictive maintenance
Translate approved work scope into:
Clear step-by-step instructions
Defined craft requirements
Required tools materials and support services
Ensure work packages are complete accurate and field-executable without interpretation
Field Validation & Pre-Planning
Perform field walkdowns to validate scope access hazards and conditions
Identify and resolve interferences missing information and execution risks
Confirm material availability and staging requirements prior to work release
Work Control Integration
Apply site work control processes using a graded approach based on risk and complexity
Ensure work packages comply with site requirements
Safety & Compliance
Incorporate hazard identification and mitigation into all work packages
Ensure compliance with DOE OSHA and site-specific requirements
Verify all required permits approvals and prerequisites are identified
Continuous Improvement
Incorporate post-job feedback into future planning
Improve standard job plans and templates
Identify and eliminate recurring planning deficiencies

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual
Mainly consists of office work - writing computer use and phone tasks. Also organizes presentations reports and meetings that involve long periods of sitting. Field duties require walking standing bending turning protective gear and sometimes transporting tools or supplies
This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and selected candidate must be willing and able to work a rotating shift schedule4 days on / 4 days offwith possible nightshift work.
Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Amentumvisa sponsorship now or in the future.
Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge.)

Amentum has joined with Bechtel to create an LLC known as the Waste Treatment Completion Company (WTCC) Join us as we make history at the Hanford Vit Plant known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities salmon and wildlife along its shorelines throughout the Northwest.

Compensation Details:
$89099.71 - $136321.63
