Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our production this key role you will collaborate with colleagues and team leads to troubleshoot repair and service essential industrial equipment ensuring our high-volume manufacturing plant runs at peak efficiency.
- Schedule: Full-time 2nd Shift (Monday Friday 2:30 PM 11:00 PM)
Competitive Pay: Compensation is determined by candidate experience education certifications and specific job-related skills. $30- $35/hr depending on position and experience and shift.
Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as an onsite Maintenance Mechanic responsible for diagnosing and repairing breakdowns across various machines automated system components and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot complex industrial machinery including 5-axis lasers waterjets and heavy-duty hydraulic equipment.
- Inspect maintain and resolve errors on production gear including automated units controlled by PLCs and high-precision CNC machinery.
- Perform structural equipment repairs using standard welding techniques and shop equipment.
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance routines across all infrastructure within target deadlines to support our manufacturing output.
- Source required replacement components track shop supplies and report material needs to the Department Lead.
- Assist EHS personnel with hazardous waste accumulation inspections and safety walkthroughs while keeping work areas safe and clean.
- Support seasonal facility upkeep including clearing snow and ice around entrances and stairs to guarantee employee safety.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or technician within a manufacturing facility.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining and diagnosing hydraulic and pneumatic presses.
- Minimum of 2 years working with 120480V 3-phase electrical systems.
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work full-time without current or future sponsorship subject to ITAR/EAR compliance.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs climb ladders stand/walk for extended periods and wear required PPE.
Preferred:
- Direct experience servicing setting up or operating multi-axis CNC equipment.
- Practical background using PLCs to diagnose electrical or operational faults in automated systems.
- Strong mechanical skills with basic welding proficiency and pump rebuilding capabilities.
- Familiarity with heavy hydraulic systems plumbing and light carpentry.
- Experience operating forklifts and man-lifts along with a complete set of standard hand tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills a self-motivated drive and a willingness to learn new skills or support on-call coverage.
