Volt is immediately hiring aMaintenance Mechanic in Taft CA.

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will:

• Providing safe and timely mechanical and electrical support preventative maintenance installation service repair troubleshooting and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment.
• Installs maintains and repairs plant machinery equipment and physical structures.
• Diagnoses failures in machinery or equipment and makes necessary repairs.
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment using electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Performs and documents preventative maintenance.
• Follows specifications blueprints manuals and schematic drawings and lockout/tag out procedures to make repairs.
• Performs repairs by skillfully using hand tool power tools hoist crane and measuring and testing instruments.
• Performs plumbing and pipe fitting and related work in installing repairing or routing water sewage air and gas pipes.
• Documents repair procedures and parts used from inventory and maintain accurate inventory of tools and equipment.
• Performs welding acetylene brazing cutting torch routine layout and other duties as needed.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum two (2) year technical degree in a related field or electrical/mechanical experience preferred.
• Must have the ability to effectively use CMMS.
• Mobile equipment operating skills such as forklifts crane front-end loader etc. preferred

This is a Full Time contract opportunity.

Schedule:B shift 11a-7:30pm. Monday Friday.

Pay for this position is $27.00 per hour (once hired pay rang is up to $39 depending on skills)

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties certifications etc.
