Maintenance Mechanic

Where Youll Make a Difference

• Perform maintenance troubleshooting repair and installation of pumps compressors valves motors piping turbines and other mechanical equipment.

• Diagnose equipment issues using technical documentation specifications and manufacturer literature to restore safe and efficient operation.

• Conduct preventive maintenance activities including lubrication filter replacement gasket installation and mechanical seal repair.

• Align rotating equipment using precision instruments such as dial indicators and laser alignment tools.

• Perform welding cutting fabrication rigging and metalworking activities to support maintenance and improvement projects.

• Execute lockout/tagout procedures and verify equipment is safely isolated prior to maintenance work.

• Utilize computerized maintenance systems to document work order materials and review equipment history.

• Coordinate with contractors vendors and engineers to ensure work is completed safely and effectively.

• Support a culture of safety while mentoring and guiding less-experienced maintenance personnel.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Experience performing industrial mechanical maintenance and repair activities on rotating and stationary equipment.

• Working knowledge of pumps compressors hydraulic systems pneumatic systems valves bearings and piping systems.

• Ability to read and interpret equipment specifications technical manuals and maintenance procedures.

• Experience using hand tools precision measuring instruments welding equipment and mechanical shop machinery.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Ability to safely perform rigging lifting and equipment installation activities.

• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer applications.

• Commitment to safety including lockout/tagout practices and use of personal protective equipment.

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role including lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights.

How Would You Stand Out

• Experience in chemical manufacturing industrial processing or related production environments.

• Experience with laser alignment precision measurement and predictive maintenance techniques.

• Certification or formal training in welding millwright pipefitting or a related mechanical trade.
