About the Job:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance and assists with the repair alteration and modification of buildings equipment and facility systems throughout the hospital campus.
What Youll Do:
- Perform a wide range of general maintenance duties in support of the Engineering Department including changing light fixtures resetting breakers cleaning and installing light panels and repairing sockets and wiring.
- Utilize proper techniques and equipment to install maintain and repair a variety of interior and exterior finishes furnishings fixtures and equipment.
- Maintain a continuous supply of medical gases by replacing tanks and coordinating reorders as needed.
- Safely operate hand tools power tools ladders lifts and staging equipment while performing maintenance and repair tasks.
- Assist with general facility upkeep to ensure a safe functional and well-maintained environment for patients visitors and staff.
Who You Are:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of general maintenance experience required.
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of basic maintenance troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools and work at varying heights as needed.
