Maintenance Mechanic (3rd shift)

Job Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will perform advanced maintenance troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment while supporting continuous production operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Perform installation overhaul and preventative maintenance on assigned plant equipment to ensure efficient operation
- Analyze equipment performance identify defects and initiate repairs before major breakdowns occur
- Complete maintenance work orders and maintain accurate documentation within the CMMS system (MP2)
- Train and mentor operators and mechanics on proper equipment care and maintenance practices
- Support equipment installation and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical components including AC and DC systems
- Perform precision welding using MIG wire-feed and heliarc techniques on stainless steel and aluminum in multiple positions
- Conduct precision cutting using plasma torch equipment
- Execute sheet metal fabrication using shear and brake equipment
- Operate power tools such as drill presses grinders milling machines and lathes safely and effectively
- Collaborate with operators to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance production efficiency
- Completion of a two-year technical degree in industrial mechanical maintenance with a minimum of five years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic B or a minimum of eight years of demonstrated experience in the role
- Strong knowledge of plant electrical power and control systems including troubleshooting and repair
- Demonstrated expertise in welding fabrication and machining in a food manufacturing environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to make independent decisions and accept responsibility for outcomes
- Proficiency in preventative maintenance practices and interpreting technical manuals
- Experience using CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and work order completion
- Strong mathematical skills including application of geometry and trigonometry for fabrication and layout work
- Ability to read write and speak English fluently
- Being on your feet walking around the facility climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.
- Performing consistent repetitive tasks.
- Frequently lifting pushing or carrying materials.
