Maintenance Manager

AZZ has an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Manager at our St. Louis facility. You will lead coordinate and assist with the maintenance staffs conduct of preventive and reactive maintenance required to maximize production.  Maintenance will include and require an understanding of electrical mechanical and pneumatic principles. A general construction skill set is desired. You will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads and assist maintenance staff to conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance as needed to keep machinery and equipment operational and safe.
• Schedules supervises and inspects completed maintenance conducted by maintenance staff and outside vendors to ensure repairs conform to specifications and safety standards.
• Ensures working conditions and availability of maintenance equipment materials parts and tools.
• Trains new employees in the organizations operating procedures and standards.
• Counsels employees about work-related issues and assists employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
• Monitors employees work levels and reviews work performance.

Qualifications :

• 1 2 years related experience required.
• Electrical and Mechanical knowledge required.
• Experience with three-phase electricity motors overhead cranes hoists and forklifts strongly preferred.
• 5 years related experience preferred.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work at heights using boom manlift (will be trained for manlift operations)

Minimum Education

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Industrial Maintenance program completion strongly preferred (will consider partially completed degree programs).
