Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Manager to be based out of Pendleton OR. Reporting to the Plant Manager this person will be responsible for planning and overseeing the work of the maintenance staff to ensure safe and efficient operations for the entire facility as well as being responsible for the entire upkeep and maintenance of the facility including proper working of all electrical and mechanical systems.
The ideal candidate will have a technical degree and 10 years of maintenance related experience and/or training in the field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelors degree in engineering preferred. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
What youll do:
- Provide supervision and leadership to plant maintenance department.
- Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts maintenance supplies and equipment and coordinate or initiate reordering when necessary.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing activities and promote the plant Lean culture.
- Coordinate and/or perform inspection of building and equipment as required by regulatory agencies.
- Oversee maintenance functions with a drive to eliminate repetitive issues by developing personnel and using metrics to help make decisions.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure proper functioning of equipment and safety and environmental compliance.
- Be a leader in safety. Drive and enforce company policy regarding EH&S and Lean Initiatives
- Create and adhere to departmental budgets.
What youll bring:
- Technical degree and 10 years of maintenance related experience and/or training in the field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelors degree in engineering preferred.
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with installation of machinery and equipment as well as dis-assembly.
- Effective leadership skills and problem-solving techniques. Great interpersonal skills with a strong ability to communicate both positive and negative messages.
- Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.

Within 3 months youll:
- Complete any required training.
- Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
- Be well-versed in Atkores Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
Within 6 months youll:
- Update training materials and procedures.
- Partner with Safety and HR to investigate and provide corrective measures for on-the-job accidents injuries production issues and HR issues.
- Identify ways to strengthen the teams commitment to Atkores core values of Accountability Teamwork Integrity Respect and Excellence.
Within 12 months youll:
- Be managing an efficient team that delivers Atkores strategy.
- Create and update reports training materials and documentation.
- Have meaningful performance conversations with your direct reports.
- Be able to resolve any issues quickly and safely.

As of the date of this posting a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $97680 - $134310. Placement in the range depends on several factors including but not limited to specific competencies relevant education qualifications certifications relevant experience skills seniority performance shift travel requirements and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include but not limited to overtime shift differentials bonuses commissions stock and other incentives.
