Maintenance Locksmith Full-Time

About the Role:

The Locksmith is responsible for maintaining the Colleges standards. Your job duties will include installing repairing adjusting and replacing locks and other door closures around various buildings and facilities; making duplicate keys when required; and managing the supply of keys for all staff faculty and contractors. Documenting when you issue keys and noting when they are returned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including working on ladders lifting over 50lbs repetitively twisting bending and working in varying environmental conditions.
• Competence in following both oral and written instructions.
• Proficient in the use of a variety of hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an academic or state organization.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience. ie Excel Word Outlook
• .Our ideal candidate has completed an accredited locksmith program and is proficient in the techniques of the trade.
• Experience in Keystone and or SimpleK key systems.
• Knowledge OSHA safety standards.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• A valid drivers license and insurance coverage as required by the Colleges insurance carrier.
