Mainframe Programmer (ZOS – CICS, Web services) (100 remote)

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition and API development.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs HTTP methods JSON payloads and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Experience integrating APIs with CICS COBOL Db2 and IMS applications.
• Ability to understand COBOL copybooks and mainframe data structures for JSON mapping.
• Knowledge of z/OS concepts including RACF/SAF security regions SMF and WLM.
• Experience with API testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design develop and deploy REST APIs using z/OS Connect.
• Configure API mappings between mainframe applications and JSON services.
• Support CICS-based API integrations and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with development and architecture teams on mainframe modernization initiatives.
