Position Summary:Milacron is looking for a Machinist to join our team in McPherson KS. As a Machinist you will be responsible forWork Youll Do: Set-up and operate a variety of machinery (Lathe Mill Saw Core Drill Hob) to blueprint specifications. Responsible for the set-up and operation on a variety of machinery to produce a large assortment of parts or finishes often of a complex nature. Must apply knowledge of mechanics shop mathematics and machining procedures. Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of production. Must use job specific hand tools. Read part drawing with sectional views. Lift position and transport work piece with a hoist. Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations priority changes or new assignments. Recommend improvements for area product and :A team of approximately 20 Machinists working during all 3 Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is required. 1 to 3 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic math skills required advanced preferred; general computer skills; knowledge and understanding of various measuring Qualifications: Technical school w/certificate is preferred.
