Machine Shop Machine Operations II

Position Summary: Responsible for the set-up and operation on a variety of machinery to produce a large assortment of parts or finishes often of a complex nature. Must apply knowledge of mechanics shop mathematics and machining Functions: Management reserves the right to add or modify the responsibilities at any timeVerify correct product using job -up and operate a variety of machinery (Lathe Mill Saw Core Drill Hob) to blueprint machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of and ensure all fluid levels are maintained on all inventory levels and report low levels and discrepancies to use precision measuring tools specific to use job specific hand part drawing with sectional position and transport work piece with a accurately record labor hours into E1 independently; assist and train less experienced plant standards in areas of safety quality delivery cost 5S housekeeping teamwork and personal leadership; actively participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations priority changes or new improvements for area product and professionally when interacting with customers and other duties as assigned by :To perform the job successfully an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Math Skills basic math skills required advanced preferred; general computer skills; knowledge and understanding of various measuring Solving identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving communication must be able to complete required paperwork and provide information needed by subsequent shift workers coworkers and read and understand written instructions blueprints job travelers understand and retain oral job-related information and instructions received from coworkers and supervisors. Listen for alarms and monitor equipment to ensure proper visually monitor machine and product to ensure proper mechanics and quality are maintained and identify problems; specifically paying attention to load unload move stack and stage product and materials using forklift; use of overhead crane; maintain the facilitys equipment and materials in a neat clean and orderly fashion. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work (Required) Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
