Description
The Machine Operator II will work in the National Oilwell Varco (NOV) ETC Repair Center in Houston TX supporting the DH 05 OPS - General - 3000 department. The role involves reading engineering drawings and machine part specifications setting up and operating equipment and performing quality checks. Basic computer proficiency with Outlook Word and Excel is required to document work and communicate with the team.

Basic computer proficiency with Outlook Word and Excel is required to document work and communicate with the team.
Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings and print specifications to set up machines.
- Select install and adjust tooling and fixtures according to job requirements.
- Operate CNC and manual machining equipment safely and efficiently.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers micrometers and other gauges.
- Record production data and maintain accurate job logs in computer systems.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Handson experience with CNC and manual machining equipment.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Basic computer skills including Outlook Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Understanding of safety procedures and ability to follow lockout/tagout protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Flexibility to work overtime or shift changes as needed.
