Description

The Machine Operator supports machine shop operations by loading and unloading parts monitoring CNC machines during production and ensuring parts are properly handled and routed. This position also assists with deburring cleaning inspection and hardware installation as needed.

  • Load and unload parts materials and fixtures into CNC machines (Haas Mazak) according to work instructions.
  • Start and monitor assigned machine cycles and promptly report equipment alarms quality concerns or operating issues.
  • Inspect and verify parts using precision measuring tools (e.g. calipers Micro-Hite) to ensure adherence to strict quality standards.
  • Deburr machined components (aluminum copper plastics) making sure dimensions remain within specification.
  • Remove all loose burrs or sharp edges using assorted abrasive tooling.
  • Install threaded inserts fasteners and other hardware according to work instructions.
  • Wash components making sure all parts are free of debris coolant dirt or any other contaminants.
  • Follow established safety protocols wear all required PPE and maintain a clean organized work area.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Check calibration status of assigned tools and equipment.
  • Maintain a work record.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings quality documents etc.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced schedule-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred But Not Required:

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time; walk and stoop kneel or crouch.
