Machine Operator 2nd shift

Location: Smithfield RI
Schedule: Monday Friday 2:00 PM 10:30 PM
Pay: $22 - $25 per hour plus $1.50 shift premium (Based on Experience)

Are you an experienced Machine Operator with a mechanical background and strong math skills Do you thrive in a hands-on detail-focused environment If so we want you on our 2nd shift team!

We are looking for a skilled professional who can set up and operate machines inspect materials and ensure quality production. Prior supervisory experience is a plus but not required.

Operate Material Handling Equipment:

• Must be certified in the material handler position.

• Operate cranes forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Machine Operation & Quality Control:

• Pull inspect and verify products before processing.

• Perform machine setups according to work order specifications.

• Ensure products meet specifications record measurements and follow written work instructions.

• Communicate with sales representatives regarding order adjustments or clarifications.

• Identify record and segregate scrap and non-conforming materials.

Maintenance & Safety:

• Perform equipment preventive maintenance and general cleanup.

• Maintain all measurement equipment in working condition.

• Properly operate weighing scales and record inspection measurements.

• Follow all safety guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.

Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

• Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality.

• Assist in lean and quality improvement activities.

• Train new team members as needed.

Education: High school diploma/GED

Skills & Experience:

• Ability to read write and perform basic math.

• Previous warehouse experience especially in the metals industry.

• Forklift experience required.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

• Experience using hand-held measuring tools (calipers micrometers tape measures).

• Computer literatecomfortable using technology in daily tasks.

• Strong safety-first mindset.
