Looking for a hands-on manufacturing role with steady work and growth opportunities Join Duraco Specialty Materials in Forest Park IL as a Machine Operator AB and play a key role in producing high-quality specialty materials that serve customers across a variety of industries. Experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
What Youll Do
- Set up adjust and operate a variety of production equipment after training
- Run equipment such as slitters laminators coaters presses compactors and material handling equipment
- Monitor production quality using measuring devices and job specifications
- Calculate production rates yields and quantities
- Troubleshoot production issues and communicate concerns to supervisors
- Use computer systems for data collection label generation and production information
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
- Participate in safety initiatives inspections and continuous improvement efforts
What Were Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and a strong hands-on work ethic
- Ability to read measurements and use measuring tools accurately
- Basic math skills including addition subtraction multiplication and division
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements
- Comfortable with physical work including standing lifting carrying pushing pulling and reaching throughout the shift
- Team player with strong communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset
