POSITION SUMMARY

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for safe and efficient maintenance troubleshooting repair installation and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position supports safe reliable and efficient plant operations through preventive predictive and corrective maintenance activities. The Machine Maintenance Technician diagnoses and repairs mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems on production equipment including high-speed stamping presses conveyors material handling equipment and supporting systems. This role works closely with operations to maximize equipment uptime safety quality and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work with stamping operations to ensure plant equipment is operating when necessary through diagnosis troubleshooting and repair. Issues may be mechanical or electrical.
• Perform preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Diagnosing equipment failures and determine root causes to minimize downtime.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
• Assist with equipment installations upgrades and process improvements.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders in company systems.
• Work with stamping operations to focus on improving productivity through the use of improvements in machines materials or processes.
• Install and troubleshoot any new equipment as directed.
• Maintain compliance with all safety requirements including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety quality and equipment reliability.
• Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required to be present at work arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Technical training in mechanical maintenance industrial maintenance mechatronics or a related field is a plus.

Language Skills:

Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues.

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills:

Add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Comprehend job training and safety instructions.

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills required including the ability to use Microsoft Office applications email and maintenance tracking systems (CMMS).

Certificates & Licenses

Lock-Out Tag-out Certified; Crane Certified; Forklift Certified; Ladder and Sling Certified.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Read a tape measure use micrometer voltmeter and calipers. Knowledge of blueprint reading. Ability to read precision measuring instruments electrical test equipment and blueprints. Knowledge of industrial electrical systems hydraulics pneumatics and automation technologies preferred.

Physical Demands
This is a physical position that requires the individual to be able to: stand walk and carry up to 50 lbs. push/pull climb walk up stairs and crouch. This position requires the individual to be able to communicate through speaking and hearing.
