Long-Term Substitute Mathematics Teacher

Lake Park High School is currently hiring for the internal-only position of Long-Term Substitute Mathematics Teacher as detailed below. Please note that this position requires coverage during periods 1 2 3 and 5 with the opportunity to work the remainder of the day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university
• Proper licensure required
• ESL endorsement preferred
• Experience preferred
• Proficient with PCs tablets and other mobile electronic devices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Google Apps and cloud-based applications
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
• Demonstrated aptitude as a self-starter who works with minimal supervision
• Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills
• Effective communication human relations and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong orientation toward providing customer service

ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES: Substitute teachers serve the District in the same capacity as a regular classroom teacher during their absence.

SALARY/RATE: This temporary position pays $59.51 per period for four instructional periods per day as per the attached 2026-2027 Substitute Teacher Pay Structure. Any scheduled periods worked beyond the required four will be paid based on the employees regular position and rate of pay.
